like sawtooth eels slithering
soft across shadowed sand
you paint yourself electric
spilling secrets off the sparks
of your rod-round tail
in sizzling whispers,
silk on bare skin--
while i,
close-mouthed and close to the surface
of a sea sashaying sass and salt,
tuck my flashy scales away
like titan's treasure trove
deep in the anemone
where your probing tongue can't reach.
