Yes, I've gone and done it again! As if I'm not busy enough with A Call to Conversation anddA Roadtrip articles, I'm bringing you ANOTHER one!  With the launch of the "Undiscovered" browsing option, there are a TON of awesome artworks I've been finding and admiring, and I just have to share them with you guys.

I WILL be taking suggestions for this series, as well, so if you discover something while browsing the bowels of dA that you think needs to be shared, please send me ( =TwilightPoetess ) a note titled Undiscovered Gems.

Recovered Audio Log 1[LacunaMail Message Cache: Eng Sgt. Ariadne Dalassen- SS Prester John]

Hey honey. Sorry I'm late. I mean, you won't get this for weeks anyway, but I know how worried you get. I got stuck in engineering explaining to idiots why it's not a big deal when we lose ablative plating. It's ablative. That's like, the entire point. They freak out about it every time we breach atmos.

I mean, yes, ideally the port side shield generator would be working properly. But that's just how these things go, it's a missionary ship. When you're off the charts this long things get worn out. She's built to last though. This old boat's doing pretty well all things considered, it's the people inside I worry about. Less and less people turning up to prayers... and some people are acting really, seriously odd. You know I caught Gabras praying to that thing the other night? And the glare he gave me! As if it wasn't bad enough just sitting there

I injected Lt. Gabras with a second dose of sedative this morning at 0530h. Couldn’t sleep for the screaming, perhaps not the most ethical use of medication, but I swear the man delights in causing me pain. Two days in his company and already I am weary beyond measure. I do not understand this sudden change he has exhibited, his mental state is increasingly unstable and he grows more wrathful with each passing hour. He is locked in one of the containment bays, a guard has been posted, and he is heavily restrained, yet still I do not feel safe.
The other subjects have displayed similar aberrations in behavior, but none as violent as the act perpetrated by Lt. Gabras. If more crew are afflicted we will soon be unable to separate or contain

Completed transcription of official reports regarding the temple on TS-014, and the recovered artifact.  Radiation interference prevents transmission to home base, but the timestamp will confirm that I did my duty in a reasonable timeframe.  Long day.  No life on TS-014, despite our best hopes and signs of a previous civilization.  Sgt. Dalassen’s scans report unidentified emanations from the artifact; Dalassen nearly contradicted me in front of the engineering crew when I ordered Lt. Gabras to bring it into the cargo... < data corrupt > ...omorrow, our Mission continues.  Despite setbacks, the Lord has blessed me with this station, and I’m proud to be the Captain of the Prester John.

This is Captain Basil Nicaeae, of the SS Manuel I Comnenus. We are currently in orbit around an unnamed class two star just outside quadrant two, in uncharted space, rough estimate relative to 1WR-Wolfram: 16 hours 45 minutes Right Ascension and -15 degrees 12 minutes declination. We are currently attached by airlock to the SS Prester John, who was at the time in a deteriorating orbit. Orbit now stabilized.
<deep sigh>
When we started tracking the radio signal trace left by the SS Prester John over two years ago, in the year of our lord 2228, we never expected to find her like this. The ship itself, once the envy of the entire Missionary Fleet, appeared largely undamaged until we circled it once: its
