And if you're up for it, you should take the "Type 1 diabetic For a Day" Challenge-- jdrf.org/blog/2013/take-the-t1…
Only sign up if you're willing to actively participate, and only if you have/can receive unlimited texts, as they send several through the day.
Let me know if you guys participate--I'd love to talk with you about it!
Or just tell me what you guys think about this here--if you're a diabetic, do you think this is a good idea? Is this something you'd participate in, but can't necessarily this time around? TALK TO MEEEEE!

Late comment, but as a Type 1...things like this make me incredibly nervous. I mean, I get that some people think they're great and all, but they've always seemed to me like they're spreading the idea that everyone has to be aware, and furthermore, they often get lumped in with that "It's okay to ask people questions about their health, and people should be honest and tell everyone about them". Which makes me both nervous and pissed off. I don't want to be a spokesperson, an educator, or defined by something that to me is a remarkably small part of how I define myself, because I didn't choose it.
